Local Hardware "Health Check" & Optimization

Request Support

Bi-annual service—physical cleaning, thermal paste if needed, and diagnostics for failing drives or battery bloat before they cause downtime.

Why it matters

Dust, old thermal paste, and aging drives or batteries cause slowdowns and failures. A hardware health check catches problems early: we clean fans and vents, re-paste if temperatures are high, and run diagnostics on storage and batteries so you replace or backup before a crisis. Think of it as a physical for your machine.

What we do

  • Physical cleaning – Open the machine (where safe and warranted), clean fans and vents, and clear dust so cooling works and noise goes down.
  • Thermal paste – If temps are high and the machine is old enough to warrant it, we re-apply thermal paste to CPU/GPU so heat is transferred properly.
  • Storage diagnostics – Run SMART and other checks on SSDs and hard drives; we tell you if a drive is at risk and help you backup and replace before failure.
  • Battery check – Check cycle count and health; we flag swelling or degraded batteries so you can replace them before they become a safety or reliability issue.

Frequency

We recommend a health check every 6–12 months for primary work machines, or after heavy use or travel. We’ll suggest a schedule based on your usage.

Next step

Tell us the make/model of your laptop or desktop and how long you’ve had it. Request support and we’ll schedule a health check and report back with findings and recommendations.
